Control volume for headset in HSP/HFP profile mode

Hello, after struggling a lot to make my new bluetooth headset (ear buds like) work with my Kubuntu 18.04, I have a final minor problem.

I had to set up a virtual ofono moden as described here:

    https://askubuntu.com/a/1223200/1067537

That's the only way I could actually select the HSP/HFP profile and get my mic working alongside with audio input. Now the profiles even auto switch from HSP/HFP to A2DP when I need the mic, that's awesome!

But, when in HSP/HFP profile, I can't control the volume level. I can move the bar, but apart from muting the headset by putting it down to 0, any other level is just the same.

At this point I don't know if this is expected behaviour (I dont think so, or I hope not, as I would like to control the volume on my remote calls), a bug of PulseAudio, a bug of oFono, or phonesim, or maybe my headset is supposed to have its own volume level control (I didn't find any).

Any help? I don't know at what level the problem may be and so I'm having a difficult time finding a solution, could it even be bluetooth related?

    Thanks!

It may have something to do with the HW_VOLUME flag?
