Edge browser is slow on YouTube site only, why?

I have found very recently Edge loads up YouTube pages very slowly, like 10 seconds t open them. Whether it be my channel page or the YouTube.com home page it just seems to be slow. My brother reffered me to the F12 key to load up some info on it and I found a service worker but I am not sure what it does. Even if I stop it, the site is still slow. It was perfectly fine weeks ago and any other site like Sky News is fast. When accessing YouTube in Linux there is no issue. When I sent to see load up times for parts of the page on my brothers advice I find reference to MSN network.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Most of us here don't use Windows at all. Even less use Edge.

I suggest you ask for help in Windows oriented forums and/or other online resources.

Google has been accused of intentionally slowing down YouTube in non-Chrome browsers for a while now. There may be nothing that can be done.

Edge is based on Chromium like Chrome, Opera, and many others. Though it is not default on my Win 10 dual boot I see no delay when loading Youtube videos. I also have a Youtube and general ad blocker installed on Edge. It may be a connectivity problem due to high traffic especially with so many people at home streaming right now.
