Laptop start but black screen - HP Pavilion G62

Hi guys,

I have an old HP pavilion G62, I have installed a Linux distribution (Endless OS) and everything was working well. But from a couple of weeks I am experiencing an issue. Basically now my laptop is starting as usual but the screen remain black, so I can't see anything. I did some research on the internet and somebody found a solution. If I put a little blanket covering the exit of the fun for 15 minutes, the laptop get overheat. After this I restart my laptop and the screen is on again. The problem is that the screen, after a day or two of usage, start the get blank again, and I have to do the same procedure again and again.

Can you guys tell me how to solve this?

Guy, try to update BIOS and chipset, including GPU driver.

I can try update the bios, but how about the chipset and drivers? Is possibble to do it via linux? If yes, how?
