App options on Ubuntu without Unity

Hello,

Is it possible to add App options (File, Edit, Window etc.) in top bar on Ubuntu without installing Unity?

Does enabling Encrypt during inatallation slows down my boot speed?

What are possible reasons an error pops up on every boot after login? A simple error that shows only to send report to developers?
