Talking Musichian here. 20years still sooo much to learn :)

Hi fellow Ubuntu users and musichians!

I am using Ubuntu version 18.2. I am making some music but regulary use Windows with Ableton and my Launchkey board
Just wanted to hear what other people like as music player, adding their ID3 tags to their music and so forth in Linux.
Got a Scarlett 2i2 card, not the best but I do not have thunderbolt on this computer.
I do however got a USB-C to USB adapter that I can use.
I am quite experienced in playing with a band, guitar lessons and digital music for ages.
Started out on Amiga, then moved over to ProTracker, and now i "Code" music,
but want to start making live music.

    Just wanted to shout out!

I am using IRC by the way if any interresting channels out there still Been in the scene also, as a music tracker.

For multi-track recording ardour is in the repository. I am guitar centred and use hydrogen and drumbit online to create my drum tracks and started plying with guitarix recently. Bitwig Studio is a paid application.

    Hello,

rakarrack is an option for playing the guitar as well. You can find it in the repositories.

Reaper has a Linux version. It's still a work in progress. I have not used it, but the forum there is very active, lots of folks sharing info on how to do things. You will get lots of help.
