    Applications Launcher Arangement

When I click the applications launcher the apps don't seem to be displayed in any logical order. Is there any way to fix this, may be create folders for Games, Grapics etc. ?

    It should be alphabetical.

    Edit:
However at the bottom of application overview it gives two options, all or favorites.
Favorites might not load them alphabetical,
but instead might load them by recent usage.

Thanks for the info. I hadn't noticed the apps were alphabetical. I'm a little OCD so I like to have things arranged in a specific way as I could in macOS LOL. Oh well, on-wards with learning this new environment. So far I'm really impressed

    I am in Gnome-Flashback session.
If I right click on Applications in top menu bar I can edit the Applications menus.
Also at the bottom of the alphabetic ordered menu list is Software and I can click on that to see Categories such as Games, Weather ....

As a further string to your bow there is a nice launcher I discovered recently - Albert.
This I gather is similar to Alfred in macOS.

Anyway, I can launch Albert (I use Num+Enter to launch) and quickly select any application. There are 191 applications indexed.

Albert is quite handy for many purposes and in particular Python extensions can be added.
