Realtek Wifi Adapter driver RTL8821CE 802.11ac PCIe installation

    Hi Everyone,

I have a notebook (not this one) on which the Realtek Wifi Adapter driver RTL8821CE 802.11ac is not installed. It is an ASUS X543MA Celeron. All the forums etc. recommend that I download the driver and install it. At the risk of asking the obvious, how do you connect to the Internet to download a driver when the Wifi Adapter does not work? My actual question is how to get the network adapter driver onto a memory stick so that I an install it and then how to install it on a system running Ubuntu 18.04.4. This question has not been addressed.

Post moved. You could use a USB tether to a smart phone to get internet access
