Cool Ubuntu look and feel, starting with some themes.

    Hi guys!
I want to change some appearance. Make it a bit custom look and feel to Ubuntu.
    Any ideas?

I am using Ubuntu LTS 14, and Wayland thou that brings another question up. What is wayland actually?

Have you read the wiki article about Wayland? It's the software that makes it possible to have a GUI and is meant to be a replacement for X, which is the over 30 year old software for that task and severely outdated in several respects. But creating Wayland is a slow process.

Why run Ubuntu 14.something? It's no longer supported. GUI stuff changes quickly, so whatever you can do to tweak the appearance of 14.04 may not be relevant to 18.04 or later.

Woops, I am not running 14. I am using the latest: 18.2. My bad.
So, is kubuntu etc. called flavours Distro versions or is it just an interface with the Ubuntu system I have behind the scenes kind of thing?

    Customizing Ubuntu
Search for articles on Google with "how to customize ubuntu 18.04" and you will find many. For example:

I just wanted to add this last comment to this thread.
What extentions are worth taking a look at for easy flow working with text and images between various apps.
Also, imaging and painting. Even HTMLS , CSS and JavaScript.
