    i saw about 3 days ago there is a snap script that makes it easy to install it and then it will work well on Ubuntu (unless there is a strange update).

    there is also DOTA2 available which i think is quite similar.
    Read the easy to understand, lots of pics Ubuntu manual.
    Do i need antivirus/firewall in linux?
    Full disk backup (newer kernel -> suitable for newer PC): Clonezilla
    User friendly full disk backup: Rescuezilla

    Doing quick search tells me its available on Lutris and it does work. Just search lutris league of legend and try it out or try it out on steam. Should be there.

    You can play also Dota 2 which is a pretty similar game and free to play on steam as well...

    the only issue here is if you are LoL level 30 and you came to this level without payments, then this is plenty of game play hours invested just to get you there. if you have "bought" various characters it means even more hours. i have plenty of characters and a few skins as well on LoL. i haven't tried it yet on linux, but i think it would probably work too slow. latest iteration worked a bit slow on WinXP. maybe someday when i will have a new PC.
