Question Any idea what "Generic- SD/MMC/MS PRO (1.00)" is?

This "Generic- SD/MMC/MS PRO (1.00)" shows up in "drive", hp CDDVDW SU-208GB (HN00)
it seems to be in "/dev/sdb" what ever that is?
    I have a 1TB hard drive
    Model: WDC WD10EZEX-60M2NA0 (03.01A03)
    Size: 1.0 TB (1,000,204,886,016 bytes)
    Partitioning: GUID Partition Table
    7 different volumes
    Device: /dev/sda1 - /dev/sda6, free space: /dev/sda

and a unused CD Rom drive: /dev/sr0 (Read-Only)

I can eject it, but where was it?
    What device was it using?

That is usually a XY-in-1 USB multi-card reader. Look for a slot that accepts an SD, SONY MediaStik or MMC memory card. Some are 8-in-1, others are 25-in-1 and some are 35-in-one. Just depends on how many different slots there are connected to the internal USB interface.
On a desktop, it would usually be on the front-panel somewhere.
On a laptop, those slots are on the side. Sometimes an inserted SD card will be completely flush with the case.
The adaptor could be external too, usually with a USB plug.

I wanted to include a link to an image, but the ebay link was about 5K alone. ; (
