How do I change display and monitor system settings in Ubuntu?

To fix a bug, someone who is using Kubuntu, suggested that one go to >system settings>Display and Monitor>Compositor>Rendering Backend>choose XRender.

In Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, when I click on system tools, I get under Displays, a choice of which display, and then I can turn it on or off, and it displays the or orientation, resolution, refresh rate, and I can turn night light off. I can rearrange the order in which monitors display.

How do I get to where I can change teh compositor and rendering?

    Thanks!

    Yours,
    Dora

Gnome just doesn't have as many user-configurable options as KDE.
