[solved] Creating a hoodie with Ubuntu logo

Hello,

I would like to create a cool hoodie with an Ubuntu logo printed on it. But I am not sure. Is it allowed to use the official Ubuntu logo from here to create a hoodie, coffee mug oder some similar things?

I don't want some trouble, so I am better asking before.

The store has been closed , but I do see items including hoodies available from other sources online. You would need permission.

Please let me explain. I don't want to open a store to sell some ubuntu stuff.
I just want to create my own hoodie (1 hoodie) for my own use.

I doubt that Canonical is permanently closing up the store. They're probably just negotiating with a third party vendor to sell Ubu swag, and you're better off buying it from a vendor to support the project.

However:

I'm a big Xubuntu fanboi, and Xubu offers a whole page of official logos that can be used freely to print banners, cards, and stuff. From their Products page:

You do not need permission to be a "fan-boi." If you want to print out the Ubuntu Logo and put it on your own personal hoodie, you are okay to do so.

You CAN NOT, however, sell said hoodie as Ubuntu Merchandise.
Think NFL. If you're a Dallas Cowboy's Fan, you can put the silver and blue star on your own things, but the NFL and the Dallas Cowboys have the rights to sell these items as merchandise.

The OP did not state their intensions in the first post. I thought it was a refference to creating merchendise for sale.

You're right. I should have written some keywords like "my own" , "1 hoodie" or "own use".
