Re: Help to restore half of the deleted note on Samsung Galaxy S5

Can it be at least some information provided regarding if it is probable at all to restore half of this note in Memo app?
Especially taking into account that I haven't cleared any caches on this Samsung Galaxy S5 since then, and
haven't even used this smartphone extensively since then.

Also given that Android OS is based on Linux.

    Thanks

Android is based on Linux indeed but different enough to be considered a different OS.

This is an Ubuntu forum and this section is mostly for discussions about Ubuntu Touch and the new derivative in development. I don't understand what did you expect in terms of support here,

https://forum.xda-developers.com/ is the specialized online resource for everything Android.

No, quoting the forum description: A place to discuss smartphones, tablets, and anything to do with mobile technology.

Well, it depends on what you want to restore?
Or do you want to mention data recovery as restoring files?

If you have already kept a backup then only you can restore files.
Usually, it is not so easy to recover files from flash storage, unlike Hard Disk Drives.

If you really want to know how to backup and restore, here I have a guide that explains how to backup data on Android.

There is something called a custom recovery in Android such as TWRP which can take a backup of the underlying images such as the system.img, boot.img, vendor.img etc. and restore them later to get the exact snapshot of the current state of the running Android firmware, which is known as Nandroid Backup in TWRP.

I hope this will give you an idea or at least you will get an idea on what are you looking for.
