My problem with dark GTK3 themes is the drop down menus. Black text in dark background, I wanted it to be white text in a dark background, can anyone help me with this one, I want to use dark gtk theme.

Have you tried resetting your shell theme back to the defaults to see if the theme you tried editing is an issue?

Yes, I already reset my shell theme back to default. Am I the only one to experience this? Are you using a dark theme and the dropdown menu is still readable?

I believe the search box colors are either set by Firefox theme or by the web site itself, not gnome-shell. My search box has black text on white (the opposite of my gnome shell theme). Try different Firefox themes and see if anything changes.Originally Posted by alvinrr

I'm using Google Chrome, the only thing I see in setting is the "Use Classic" button, but I want to use the theme in my google chrome.
