    how to rescan hardware[all]?

one of the best things about ubuntu is the ability to take a hard drive from a dead laptop and put it into another, however is there a[command(s)] way to scan the hardware[all] like when the iso was first installed to get the best drivers [re]installed[and/or downloaded] for the laptop or desktop?

It does hardware detection in each boot. If it didn't you wouldn't be able to add new hardware and expect it to work just like that.

    Reboot or boot up.
The system gets scanned every boot.

    ninja'd.
(That what happens when you leave a page for a couple minutes, I guess)

Do you have a particular issue with drivers?
