    X-Plane 11 in Ubuntu

I have recently switched to Ubuntu for x-plane as have read it is more efficient.

My knowledge of Ubuntu is "zero" and I am struggling to understand it.

I want to use my Saitek Panels with x-plane and have been told they need new rules and I believe either of the following will achieve the same result (the extracted 51-Saitekpanels.rules file is in my Downloads folder).

    sudo cp /home/chris/Downloads/51-Xsaitekpanels.rules /lib/udev/rules.d

    sudo cp /home/chris/Downloads/51-Xsaitekpanels.rules /etc/udev/rules.d/

I thought they were commands but understand this is not the case.

Would appeciate a step by step guide on how to add the rules.

Also, does anyone know if the CH Pro pedals will work with Linux. If so guidance would be appreciated.

    Thanks
