    how to shut down the hardrive upon booting

    my system is on the SSD
    so i don't use the HDD much
    how to shut it down automatically and turn it on automatically when accessed in the 'files explorer'?

    If not mounted on boot then it's already doing what you want.

    the point i think is that when mounting it in the files manager the files are shown immediately without any waiting time

    so i guess that it is always on (the HDD)

    what do you think?

    also, there is no 'ignition sound' for the HDD or shutting down sound
