Unable to print onmy local network after downgrading to 16.04

I downgraded my macbook early 2008 from lts 18.04 to lts 16.04 because it worked very slowly.
Since then there is always a notification when logging in:" required virtual size does not
fit available size." I resetted unity, but without success.

So I am unable to print on my local network nor bluetooth communication works.

My printer works perfectly on 16.04 , but not with my macmini on the local network.

Has this issue to do with downgrading from 18.04 to 16.04?

If speed is the main focus I recommend staying with 18.04.3 or 19.10 but trying another Buntu than Ubuntu.

Don't upgrade from 16.04 but do a fresh install.
