I am starting to use Ubuntu for our commercial surveillance systems and so far have been really happy with everything. Very low resources and nothing that gets in the way.
I have a solution which requires a bonded 802.3ad connection. Putting aside the refinement of the parameters etc (may need to post on this later) i have an issue where the software licencing i am using becomes invalid when a nic is disconnected from the bond. It seems the HWID calculation for the licence no longer matches because the MAC has changed.
Is there any way to have the bond and all its slaves have a fixed mac address that does not ever change no matter what?
