Question about Gnome-sudoku

Hi

Gnome-sudoku has keyboard shortcuts to enter earmarks (possible numbers to fill in).
You simply press ctrl + a number.

I played this game on Ubuntu 18.04 installed on a Lenovo laptop. I used a bluetooth keyboard. The shortcuts worked fine.

Now I have a new Dell xps 13 and I run Ubuntu 19.10. I use the same bluetooth keyboard, but now the shortcuts don't work. ctrl + number doesn't do anything.

The issue only occurs in Gnome-Sudoku.

Any idea what could cause this and how I could fix it?
