It doesn't for me, but no matter. Did you install the NTFS drivers on Ubuntu so it might be able to read the Windows-native file system?
Code:
$ dpkg -l |grep ntfs
ii ntfs-3g 1:2015.3.14AR.1-1ubuntu0.3 amd64 read/write NTFS driver for FUSE
Code:
sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade && sudo apt install ntfs-3g
will update, upgrade and install the ntfs driver. If you are trying to access the drive using a GUI, there might be other dependencies needed. I always use a real "mount" to access storage, never the GUI. By default, the GUI tools for accessing NTFS will not use the best options for performance. It is really too bad those are not enabled by default.
