    Installed lubuntu DE on 1804

    Hi all this maybe be a simple fix. After I installed the lubuntu core I logged into to it and The GUI application, software does not have permission to install applications. Synaptic on lubuntu desktop DE will not even load. Did I miss a package?

    Think you have to install lubuntu-desktop, not core. I could be mistaken.

    Please close all applications and post the results from
    Code:
    sudo apt update
    and
    Code:
    sudo apt dist-upgrade
    in CODE tags.
    Bringing old hardware back to life. About problems due to upgrading.
