a 2nd login in X using same userid

i can have a user logged multiple time via ssh and on the text consoles. on X windows i have not figured out how to do this. when i try in the greeter it just reconnects me to the previous session. is this a lightdm limitation? is there a default policy configuration that can be changed? years ago when i was using Slackware, i ran 3 X servers in 3 different video modes for different pixel depths. i used the same exact userid for all 3, so X, at least back then, could handle it.

this is not a problem to be fixed, but, i am curious if it can be done and how. i might have some uses for it if i can, such as with VNC.

no. there are no TTYs at all until i open a terminal and then it's one with pty on the other end. i want to have 2 graphical logins as in 2 instances of X like i used to do before Microsoft Windows created reduced expectations.
