19.04 to 19.10

Hey guys I've downloaded 19.10 from Ubuntu site onto usb drive tried it on my Dell inspiron 15 with AMD A9 processor and don't boot I even tried upgrading from 19.04 to 19.10 doesn't boot never had an issue with Ubuntu so thought maybe is a bug fix glitch need a little help because I'm getting my new board and I'm going full Ubuntu desktop and laptop this winter I'd like to get more involved i the terminal learning how read to code etc

Are you getting any error messages when you boot the upgrade ?

No just black screen
its weird never an issue Ubuntu and I've been using it for over 10 years
I'm running 19.04 no and thought about upgrading but I'm posting my issues first I like 19.04 but saw some cool features in 19.10 I mostly email an bank but would like to get back into terminal work again loved to take a ubuntu course to learn open source coding but I can't travel due to medical issues

I don't understand on the old hardware my laptop is a Dell Inspiron 15 only 3 years old AMD with A9 7th gen processor so if I upgraded will it work okay because I updgraded this before to 19.10 and didn't boot just black screen same as if I do a fresh install

Got it going I turned off UEFI and went lagecy and it installed beautiful so cross my fingers don't want to go back to Windows 10 hate it garbage
