Stuck on Purple splash screen in Ubuntu 18.04 on 3rd generation (Retina) MacBook Pro

I had an old, third generation (Retina) Macbook Pro, and I recently installed Ubuntu 18.04 (not dual). It was working fine till this morning. After I rebooted, it stuck on the splash screen.
Googled it and removed the graphic drivers and reinstalled AMD graphics again. But still, the issue is the same.
Any possible solutions to fix this issue?

Re: Stuck on Purple splash screen in Ubuntu 18.04 on 3rd generation (Retina) MacBook

I have a similar issue on my Macbook Pro. The internal display was black and on an external Ubuntu was just a purple screen.
I can only use an external screen, when the macbook is closed (clapshell mode.
Additionnaly I had to open it and to disconnect the battery to get the internal screen working again with MacOS.
I hope that can help you a little bit or give you a clue.
