Wired connection not working.

Hello, I'm new to linux and so far my experience was nothing but horrible. Mainly because im a noob...
Let's start from the start
I had windows 10. Then I was requested by school to install linux so i did and installed ubuntu (dual boot).
Linux was fine but i seem to have lost connection in windows so i entirely removed it by installing ubuntu again and earasing everything.
Day 1 was fine. However today i cant seem to be able to connect via wire. First it refused wireless to but it worked. And stuck with no wire connection.
It shows question mark on top right (question mark and ethernet symbol)
Can you guys help me figuring out the problem? Thanks.

Without knowing what computer you are using, it will be hard to help. One thing you can try(might not help) is to check all cable connections, take them out and re attach. Another thing is to shutdown, remove wired cable from computer, reboot and then reattach wired cable.

I am using a Lenovo Legion y530 laptop
(Ubuntu version 18.04)
And tried such solutions to no avail.

[UPDATE];:
I have noticed that the wired conection works for very few seconds each random period. Mainly when i reboot my pc.

A Lenovo Y530 is so new that one can't be sure that 18.04 supports it.

Do you get stable internet access in a live boot of 19.10?
