    Adobe Photoshop via Wine?

Is it possible to install and fully functionally run Adobe Photoshop on Ubuntu 19.10 via Wine?

    Re: Adobe Photoshop via Wine?

Once upon a time, Google was paying engineers to prop Photoshop up to Platinum status in WINE.

It looks like you may have luck running it via WINE but over all it looks pretty hit or miss depending on version (CS and Elements seem fine, CC looks like a coin flip).

Over all, you're better off using GIMP or Krita. Krita is actually very similar to Photoshop in functionality and form, while GIMP is similar in functionality.

If anything, using either of the OSS alternatives sticks it to Adobe for charging digital rent, but you could give Photoshop (depending on the version) a go on WINE and see how far you get.

I used to use nothing but Photoshop. Then, after numerous attempts (failed attempts) to get it running in Wine, I gave Gimp a look. And never looked back at Adobe.
