ASUS X441B Laptop

Any advice or information on installing Ubuntu (most recent version) on my ASUS X441B laptop would be great. Been a few years since I have had the pleasure of running Ubuntu. I couldn't find much material on it. Currently running Windows 10.

I haven't installed it yet. That is why I was inquiring, beforehand, to see if anyone else had and whether there were any type of issues I might be able to preemptively address such as the need for downloading or compiling items in case things like the wireless drivers do not work.

I don't see anything in the lshw output which could cause problems for Ubuntu 19.10 but it might be better to wait for someone better versed in Asus than me to notice the thread.

How much did you test the system in the live boot?

I ran 18.03 LTS. Pushed obviously Terminal. Spun up Firefox. That had always been the thing, back in the day, getting the wireless to work out of the box. No issues. Was able to screenshot, run LibreOffice, etc. no issues. To me, and I am an old timer, if the wireless works, anything else can be fixed within reason.

Happy to report that I am running a dual boot without any issues. There may be something in the background I don't know about, but compared to several years back, EVERYTHING is working out of the box --- printer, wireless, etc.

If anyone needs specific info to publish to clear this model, let me know.
