XUbuntu and Thinkpads

Are all types of thinkpads very compatible with XUbuntu? X Series, T Series, P Series, E SEries, L series Thanks guys!! Will be completely new from Lenovo website. Also what drivers do you need to install for new thinkpads using XUbuntu? and does XUbuntu install the drivers automatically?

Most thinkpads do have good compatibility - however always best to check for the specific model you want to purchase and see if there have been forum discussions with respect to it....I have used thinkpad x1 carbon and thinkpad e595 with ubuntu 19.04 without issues....given the number of models which lenovo churns out year on year; always good to do homework for the specific model...Cheers

I have 4 of them T420, T430, T530x2 all run very well with various Linux installs.
BTW: Avoid the hybrid GPU's.
