    Upgrading to another version of Windows from within Windows will not work because the disk is marked as inactive. To be able to upgrade boot from the boot repair disk (that is included in this solution) and run the repair one time and then reboot into windows and proceed with the upgrade.

    The issue could also occur when doing a repair. There are repairs that are run from within Windows. That will reinstall it. If there is an issue then change the disk settings back to default like is mentioned here above.
