Question Locking windows or desktop apps to different workspaces

I know that from the following link, you can move windows to a different workspace.

    https://help.ubuntu.com/stable/ubunt...window.html.en

My question is, how does one lock certain windows or desktop applications on the screen to different workspaces from the latest vanilla Ubuntu?

Is it better just to use a tiling window manager for locked windows? And for locked, I mean they stay on the left or right on the screen.

    Positive vibes,
    Smitty
