    Well thank you that makes total sense to me. so if i where running Arch based distro it wouldn't work seeing how kernels update as its rolling OS. Do you know what best wirless adpater to run the newest kernel every time comes out. This my not be best adpater to use or it is if staying on stable kernel and not bleeding edge. If you know of adpater i can buy for bleeding egde kernels please let me know. thanks for your help Linux still the best to me

    It is likely best to stay with kernel 5.0 or older if your hardware works
    I use a Edimax EW-7833UAC AC1750 using source code from github but I don't know if it would even work on 5.2 even with https://github.com/aircrack-ng/rtl8812au
