You haven't told us if this is local or on a web server somewhere out there. Also helpful would be server software (apache 2, whatever?,) DB and PHP versions.

This **should** have nothing to do with the OS, but it is entirely possible. If you don't pay attention to the update notes, it may be requiring some module or PHP extension that is not installed. It could be as simple as someone changed to PHP 7 array syntax and you're still on PHP 5+ and it doesn't recognise [] instead of array(). Basically, it could be anything.

First place to check is the error log, depending on how the server is set up and what server software you are running it **could** be something like /var/log/apache2/error_log or /var/www/[yoursite.com]/public_html/logs/error_log.

Open a terminal if it's local, or SSH to your server and locate the error logs and run tail [path to]/error_log. This will show you the last 20 lines or so and may be more specific.

If it's shared hosting, you may not be able to SSH so check with your ISP how to view logs, there should be some way to do so in the hosting CP.

    Have you looked in /var/log/apache2/error.log?

What was updated? WordPress? Did you check the Woocommerce site to see if it has any known incompatibilities with version 5.2.2?
