Since installing Ubuntu 18.04.2 a few days ago, I have been experiencing very poor microphone quality compared to Windows 10. After updating ubuntu to 19.04 and installing PulseEffects, I came to the conclusion that the reason why my mic was sounding rubbish was due to the 'block size' being too low. After changing it from 512 to 4096, the microphone worked perfectly. The only issue I have is that PulseEffects is really annoying to get working perfectly. Is there any way that I can set the mic's block size without PulseEffects? Thanks in advance.
