16.04 LTS Installation - network error during manual config

    Hello,

During installation of 16.04 I have run into an issue where the manual configuration of the IP/Subnet/Gateway fails and I can either move on to the hostname or go back and try again. If I try again it fails again, .. if I move on and finish the installation it looks that the IP and Subnet have been configured via "ifconfig" but if I use "netstat -rn" the Gateway IP is listed as the destination IP and the Gateway IP is 0.0.0.0. Currently I have 3 out of 4 systems failing. I have swapped nic cards, re-installed firmware and wiped configurations to no avail .. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

R630 w/4-port i350, firmware is current on server and internals.

    Thank you in advance,
    J

I always let it do the DHCP setup, then change the IP via ansible with my re-configuration, installation, and system setup playbooks.
It has been about 7 months since my last 16.04 install, so my mind is a little fuzzy on details.

My bad, it was an IP/Subnet issue. 8/
