how to update to gucharmap version 12.0.x in this Ubuntu 18.04 version?

"Character Map" version 10.0.x only supports unicode 10.0; but the character range you mention (i.e. Tamail Supplemental) is new in unicode 12.0, so obviously not available in gucharmap 10. You will need to update to gucharmap version 12.0.x which supports unicode 12.0.
This I was told.
So my question is"how to update to gucharmap version 12.0.x in this Ubuntu 18.04 version?"
