dyslexia dictionary

is there anything that is close with lubuntu?? i found one with windows, but is not linux friendly. it has to do with words that sound like, for example. before i continue i need to name the program.
im back 19mins later.. the program i liked with XP is called "The Sage".. i didn't come from the states, but across the pond maybe.. it had more terms for speech, or spelling, then i ever knew of. but i found a few things that helped.. it was closer than anything, i can find...
aint no money in helping dyslexia people, nor a clue how to.. The Sage was close...

The Sage has; words that sound like, or words that are spelled like. surely, i aint the only one here with dyslexia. you can still be smart, but not able to spell.. even read...

If it is, it has probably shifted focus from dyslexia towards linguistics, because it seems a high level tool for people doing serious work in that area. I've tried installing the free (as in beer) version in Wine. It runs, but it's very slow and some functions crash the program as soon as you try to use them.

There is an excellent concordancer which runs in Ubuntu.

I am not usually dyslexic, but once a year, probably due to illness/migraine, it happens that characters go wandering about - it looks really weird and makes it very hard to read anything while the problem persists. I therefore think I know what real dyslexics experience and I'm wondering whether a real dyslexic can comment on whether the opendyslexic font actually helps?

that is the program, it works well with windows. it was never focused on dyslexia, but i found functions, that helped me.
sounds-like, and spelled similar. its not for linux, but may work with it.

i havent tried this, and maybe will not understand, how to use this. dyslexia involves way much more then just spelling, or how to spell.. in my case, i can read most things, but when i try to write, i cant spell a lick. some days are better than others. when i was in the navy, i had trouble remembering, which hand to salute with. i were 21... i call it zig-zag disorder. was not much talk about dyslexia, till after i was out of high-school, still aint... im in my 60s now.. i think it has to do with cross wiring of the brain, although, maybe its a disconnect. i seen a film of someone who volunteered, to cut the connections, between the left, and the right, of the brain... it was truly, the left hand didnt know what the right hand was doing..
if i see a word spelled correctly, i know its the right word.. as far as spelling, not the same. it does help, if it was in a sentence, maybe not the one i am writing at the time.. i have to add this. nobody yet, i have found, has such a dictionary, the sage comes the closest.. i think the closest terms were sounds like, spelled like, rhymes like, and the phonic thing was missing. it seems fairly simple, yet it is not done.
i am an old one, but this can help others, with the same problem..

I am beginning to understand the practical requirements .. it seems that @oneleded could use a dyslexic spelling checker.
