Timeshift really saved my butt today... phew

A malformed sudo rm -r command involving an asterisk (don't ask me how, I'm usually not that dumb) smashed my machine completely.

A boot from a live DVD with subsequent Timeshift installation saved me. I was even able to recover the HDD image (which is the newest backup).

    I love this program!

    Not a support request.

Thread moved to Ubuntu, Linux and OS Chat. which is more appropriate and a better fit.

Is this a ubuntu install with timeshift from the ppa, or are you using Linux Mint which has timeshift in its default repos?
