Anyone Willing to Diagnose 16.04 LTS Issue?

I know 16.04 is considered obsolete, but this is older hardware and I really don't want to try running newer OS's on it.

Recently, every time I turn my computer on, I get two [System Error] pop up notifications. I can close them out and the system runs fine all day long. I am just curious as to what is causing these to be generated. If anyone wants to help, just tell me what logs you need and I will provide them.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hardly, it's supported until 2024.

If you're talking about "System problem detected" (sorry I forget the exact wording), that is apport. See https://askubuntu.com/questions/9345...disable-apport to disable it.

Oh wow... I'm glad to hear that! (about 2024)

And yes... I believe that is what I'm getting. I'll read about that tonight and try that when I get to the shop in the morning. Thank you!

Even 2021 is better than I thought! Thank you for the info.
