Text selection woes?

Quite often but seemingly at random I have problems adding bb codes using the icon menu.
eg... If I highlight text then click on the # icon the code tags are inserted at the beginning of the post
instead of around the highlighted text.
Is this just me?

OK, so it seems it's just me then.
