Bluetooth not working (Dell XPS 15 7590)

    Hello all,

I just got my XPS 15 7590 last week and I am now trying to set up ubuntu 16.04 on it as dual boot.

The wifi did not work at the beginning and I found a solution here https://support.killernetworking.com...-ubuntu-16-04/ This is because XPS 15 7590 is using Killer AX1650 chipset.

After I followed the instructions above, the WIFI works, but the Bluetooth not.

This is the information I got by
    Code:
    rfkill list
    Code:
    0: phy0: Wireless LAN
        Soft blocked: no
        Hard blocked: no
    1: hci0: Bluetooth
        Soft blocked: no
        Hard blocked: no
    This is after running
    Code:
    lsusb

    lspci
    Code:

    For hciconfig I got these,

    Anyone has some ideas?

    Thanks very much!

By the way, I've got my kernel version is:

The missing firmware is part of newer ubuntu version firmware. Install that file and reboot

Re: Bluetooth not working (Dell XPS 15 7590)

Im a noob but am loving how non-intrusive linux is compared to windows 10. I installed on my XPS 15 7590 as well in a dual boot because I am only starting to get comfy with Linux. I am having the same issue as hanyangx, but the link above is dead. Can anyone help redirect me?

Look here for linux-firmware_1.181_all.deb (at the moment of writing it's the latest firmware package)

Hi, I'm the author of the guide How to install Ubuntu on Dell XPS 15 7590 (italian, sorry). I've got Wi-Fi and bluetooth working following the killer networking procedure. For those that are not too hot using Git, I packaged the backport-iwlwifi and*linux-firmware in a nice .zip with a simple bash script to do all the work. I hope this could be useful!

For those folks that have this machine and are running on 18.04, there is a proposed kernel that solves the wifi driver problem.

    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:canonical-kernel-team/ppa
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install linux-oem-osp1

What are the equivalent commands for those using fedora? I am having the same issues with Dell XPS, ie bluetooth not working. Thanks.

Re: Bluetooth not working (Dell XPS 15 7590)

    1. Firstly, please do not hijack threads. This confuses those trying to help and dilutes community effort.
    2. Secondly, please to not necromance old threads. This one is months old, may contain obsolete info and Elvis has long since left the building.
    3. Thirdly, in your own best interest, you are best served asking for Fedora advice on the Fedora forums. While UF does permit questions about other distros, these are supposed to be placed in the appropriate subforum dedicated to such distros. Cross contaminating different distros in subforums in which they don't belong just leads to further confusion.

For all above reasons, this thread is now closed.

Please feel free to post your problem in the Fedora forum under a title that describes your specific situation, but no hijacking or necromancy please.
