AMD Releases BIOS Fix To Motherboard Partners For Booting Newer Linux Distributions

Michael Larabel writes that AMD have released a BIOS fix for their motherboard partners that allows booting Linux distributions on new Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) processors. Michael describes how the issue relates to a RdRand which was fixed in the kernel in May, alas too late for many distributions like Ubuntu 19.04 due to AMDs testing choices. Hopefully we'll see BIOS updates soon.
