Upgrade - remove obsolete packages - what to do now?

I am upgrading from Lubuntu 16.04 LTS to 18.04 LTS. It asks me if I want to remove obsolete packages. I say I want to see details. The terminal shows me a list of packages to be removed, after which it says "(END)". No further instructions. If I press enter or try to type 'y' (for yes), nothing happens. Really well done to the person who wrote this bit of code. Not. What do I do? Thanks.

The list of obsolete packages is being displayed using the 'less' utility.

If you haven't worked it out already type q, Q or ZZ to quit and return to the upgrade process.
