    Secure Boot changes (SOLVED)

In an attempt to get Realtek RTL8723BE to connect to wifi on my dual boot win10/Mint19.1 hp notebook I ran terminal commands to install new driver. Unfortunately I missed the comment to remove secure boot and have now run the install.
At reboot I am presented with Operation System Boot Change Menu.

If I ESC and reject the change will the change be discarded and I can have another try out of secure boot?

If I enter the password and accept the change could this affect my win10 wifi connection which has been working ok up to now?

    Help much appreciated

SOLVED - sort off by entering password - finally connected to wifi after 2nd reboot - did some browsing and then lost internet although still wifi connected. Next stop will be researching drop outs which I did notice mentioned in other posts
