cant get rid off deadzone on steering wheel

I'm trying to make my steering wheel work properly but there is a annoying 0.1 deadzone that i cant get rid of (I tried on beamNG.drive and F1 2015), i already tried to calibrate it with the jstest calibration utility and evdev-joystick it made no difference, im running linux mint 19.1 and my wheel is a arduino leonardo using the joystick library 2.0, it also worded fine with no deadzone on windows, thanks in advance

Re: cant get rid off deadzone on steering wheel

I'm having the same issue, but on Ubuntu 18.04LTS. Also a self-made steering wheel, using a teensy 3.6, very similar to an arduino. The deadzone only seems to happen in the middle of the X axis, not on any other axes. Should I make a new post about this in the ubuntu forum?
