Re: Soooo ... how many computers do you have?

I have about 5 computers, most of them junk. I mostly keep them because I have files stored on them. Though I'm probably going to try to get rid of some of them. I just have no idea how to get rid of them, most of them arent worth selling because broken in some way and I'm not sure I want to throw them on the trash.

6 laptops. I use them as is if they were desktop computers, at home. I have room for two laptops on my desk. One laptop, which I call my main/primary computer, always occupies one spot, and I alternate between the other five for the other spot, switching to a different one something like every 1-3 days.

Besides my Desktop I got a Raspberry Pi 2 but its not working anymore coz I accidentally pushed the HDMI cable too hard and it must have made a crack on the main board.

    I have 6 working computers
NFina 12TB server that has turned into my main workstation UbuntuStudio 18.04
System76 Desktop in test mode (very quiet, small footprint (No DVD drive?!) Ubuntu 18.04
HP laptop recently dual-booted Windows 10 (A very snoozy slow system) and Ubuntu 19.04 (Very fast and understandable)
Dell Laptop Win 7 (to communicate with people still in the Windows world
Dell desktop Win 10 (for now) media center.
Gateway laptop (Win 10) belonged to my late wife, and is currently the machine with which I allow guests to check email, etc., if they don't just want to put their phone or other device on the wifi network.
    8 monitors in all.

➊ one Packard Bell PC 2005 with new SSD currently runs Slackware
➋ one Aspire X PC 2016 i think / runs Ubuntu 18.04 [main machine] 500Gb + 750Gb and 500Gb external HDDs second one in a caddy from machine above
Not a lot of difference in speed between the two to be honest

➌ one Macbook 2005 dual boots 10.06 and Bodhi Linux [I think it is now moribund the airport card conked out and not being a surgeon I think it stays the way it is]

LXDE on all 3 stable no flim flam solidity is what I want

Re: Soooo ... how many computers do you have?

    Four.
    1. One desktop machine (nothing exciting - I'm not a gamer) running Xubuntu 18.04.
    2. One 10-year-old Asus netbook running Debian 10 with Openbox as WM. It keeps refusing to die.
    3. One Raspberry Pi 3b+ (with touchscreen) running Raspbian Stretch.
    4. One PCEngines single-board x86_64 running Ubuntu Server 18.04. This one is my router, and I'd describe it as boringly reliable.
Please, people, remember to BACKUP before you install that new system. Same if you're upgrading.
