I won't name my ISP (Slightly obscure hint: they are a bunch of bright sparks). Aft'er several of my neighbours moved to fibre, speeds I get on my ADSL connection actually improved. Not being into the streaming thing, I'm not complaining - I've seen reports that some customers of the same ISP sometimes have speeds on fibre that are slower than what I get on a boring old copper connection.

Sounds like I have the same connection type and ISP as you do, lisati. I'm perfectly happy with the service - I'm not into streaming, either - and in no hurry to upgrade.

I am with Virgin Media (cable TV provider). I am very happy with the download speed, and the reliability. Both greatly exceed what could be achieved with copper of FTTC (we are a long way from the nearest cabinet, with ropey ageing cables). The upload speed is limited enough that my son had to drive to his university to hand his homework in - upload would have taken too many days.
They only provide partial internet connectivity though - I think I'll be retired before they get round to offering IPv6. So I sometimes bounce through a Digital Ocean droplet (clous virtual server) using wireguard.

I have Shentel with a 50 Mbps pipe. Thinking about bumping up to 150 Mbps in a month or so.

    AT&T
    fiber
    1 Gbps

AT&T was, in my opinion, threatened by Google's offering of gigabit fiber in Charlotte and rolled out their own competitive offering. I love competition.

Comcast Biz over COAX - RG-6. Much thicker than RG-59. In theory, it should be 25/5Mbps with a /29 public subnet. In reality, because I have chipmunks, it is ....
    Code:
    Download: 12.52 Mbit/s
    Upload: 2.35 Mbit/s
today. The test server is hosted on a competing ISP, so I'm not sure it is the truth. All 5 IPs are definitely working.
No data caps. Costs about 2x what anyone around here pays for 2x the bandwidth in their residential plans.

Not going to say who is my ISP, but I've recently upgraded to the speeds shown at a lower cost than I was paying for half this speed.

They wanted more money from me but my threat to leave and go elsewhere persuaded them to give me this.

When I lived in AK I had to use the Verizon 4G hotspot from my phone and it was phenomenal. I could even play online video games with it, stream netflix from my PlayStation. Anything. I'm wired to Comcast now at my new place and it's extremely reliable.

    Current: Xfinity COAX:
    132mbs down
    3.54mbs up

It seems like every time I call to quit a service they are able to offer me some sort of deal to stay on. This has happened with my cell service provider and even Adobe. When I tried to quit Adobe they game me 3 months of free service, after which I quit anyways.
