Ubuntu forums & ubuntu one sharing log-in credentials?

I am transitioning from Windows to Ubuntu and hope to be able to simplify some of the things that inevitably burden all users of all OSes. The present one (for which I am posting this) is this: Is it permissible to use the same log-in creds between Ubuntu One and Ubuntu Forums? I know about, and use, SSO in Ubuntu One to log in to Forums, but, that doesn't seem to be exactly the same as having the same creds for both (or, seems so to my uninformed mind).

By "creds", I mean; username and password.

Please set me straight on this and for those of you who are Americans; or, are just interested in our holidays; HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!
