Does anybody have Xubuntu 14.04.05 LTS ISO image?

    Hi,

I need to repair the Xubuntu 14.04.05 LTS installation. I do not have nay copy. If somebody has, please upload. I need this version only as some software do not work with latest version. Somehow by boot/efi damaged. I need to repair it. The PC ( Intel 7) boots but with blank screen and mouse pointer. Please let me know how I can solve or the ISO image.

    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks

    CND

There is a bit torrent file here....http://www.lolita.pf/ubuntu_iso/?C=M;O=A
    http://www.lolita.pf/ubuntu_iso/xubu...64.iso.torrent <----- direct link
Tested here and it downloads at an acceptable rate.... gives an ETA of 20 mins.

Personally, I would recommend backing up all your important data and doing a clean install of the latest LTS version.

Thanks for the recommendation. But the software and database I am running on Xubuntu works only on 14.04.05 LTS version. They do not want to upgrade to newer version so I have to stick to that version.

    Thanks anyway.

Fair enough, but be aware you will be running a version that is outdated, will not receive security updates, and there may be issues if you try updating software.

This article has a good overview of some of your options (especially the last one):

    Hi,

I understand that this version was officially ended. But I am running my home automation which is Ubiquiti mfi database which can run only on that version. I am stuck with it as mfi is also dead and I have 90 switches and some background programming done to them to run this home automation.

Is it possible to run this stuff in a container? Maybe do an 18.04 install and run an LXD container for 14.04 and run your stuff inside the container? Ultimately while you might be able to make 14.04 work, you will have no choice but to move on eventually. Why wait?
