    Re: Re- Name ?

I think Eanimal is probably just a place holder, sites like OMG are reporting the name as Eoan Ermine now, but I have not seen an official notice yet.

The new name is in the daily build downloads page , but I'm not sure where various sites are getting the schedule information from.

I'm still trying to figure out how to pronounce 'eoan'. Three sources give three vastly different results.

I rather belated reply (I've been busy) but the same happened with the 18.10 release which was originally Cosmic CANIMAL and became Cosmic Cuttlefish shortly after development had commenced. See: https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2390886.

    Re: Re- Name ?

    Thanks for this interesting thread.

Could a moderator, or person with sufficient privileges, update that blue banner at the top of this sub-forum, ("Hello Doug S, this forum is for the discussion of development of Eaon Eanimal, and the testing of Bionic Beaver and Xenial Xerus point releases only. The Eaon release schedule can be found here")

I have always thought that the release name should be decided one cycle in advance. Then peoples per cycle tasks timeline can be more self driven than having to wait. Myself, I don't like to use a placeholder and then have to do some of the work again.
Any follow-up information on your issue would be appreciated. Please have the courtesy to report back.
